Sluggish traffic due to heavy traffic volumes is a problem in many places, especially during peak hours or due to construction sites. Traffic jams and annoyed road users are the result. What option is there to counteract this problem, or more specifically: How can problems be identified in good time so that they can react at an early stage and thus not restrict people's mobility?

The solution: innovative traffic meters
One of our solutions is the measurement of traffic flows using networked, optionally self-sufficient, traffic meters at various neuralgic transport hubs. The sensors evaluate the number of vehicles according to different speed groups and thus provide a cost-effective overview of the entire traffic situation. Data is transmitted to the Citymonitor dashboard in real time and can thus be saved, analyzed or linked to other information (e.g. events, traffic obstructions).
Traffic planners thus have access to current and historical traffic data anytime and anywhere.
The collected data can be transferred in real time to other systems for traffic management or citizen information. As a result, road users, such as commuters, are informed at any time and at an early stage — directly on their smartphones, for example.

Easy to assemble and inexpensive to use
The innovative radar-based traffic meters we use for this purpose were developed specifically for permanent installations in cities and municipalities, but can also be used for mobile, temporary measurement. They are compact in size and the option of autonomous operation and are efficient and cost-effective to operate.
