... and we're really happy about it. We were recently able to launch the city of Dornbirn's new citizen information platform “Dornbirn Live”. Under live.dornbirn.at Anyone interested can access useful information about the city — in real time. The aim of the platform is to create added value for users by making useful information available centrally and at any time.
An overview of the information and functionalities
- Waste dates for organic waste, residual waste, “yellow sack” and paper at your own address including the option of push notification the day before

- Information about Pharmacy and medical emergency service
- Latest Gemeindeblatt Issue and archive with access to past issues
- news about the city's latest press releases
- Overview of upcoming events with further information
- Overview of shopping opportunities (Retailers) with filter function by categories
- Overview of currently opened catering establishments with filter function
- The Status Achfurt provides information about streen closing over the river, including webcam images
- webcam with a view of the marketplace and links to other webcams
- Overview of great Experiences and destinations for any weather
- Dialect lexicon with translation and read-aloud function
- Dornbirn dictionary with interesting facts about the city
- Facebook posts to read (even without an account)
- Direct notifications about up-to-date news, such as postponements of events
As the application gradually evolves, more useful information will be added over time. Together with the city of Dornbirn, information on public transport and the utilization of parking garages and various excursion destinations has already been considered.

Use on different devices
Since the application is a so-called progressive web app (PWA for short), it can be accessed both via the PC and via a smartphone or tablet. In addition, the app icon can be pinned to the screen, as is also possible with other apps.
